ANNUAL SILVERSMITH'S COMPETITION - 1977 Awarded an Honorable Mention with chased and repoussed sterling silver fabricated box.

1976 - Recipient of NIU INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION GRANT. Six months of International studies in Austria. Arts, photography, business and economics. Six months travel through out Europe and several communist countries.

1971 - "HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN DESIGNS" by Dona Z. Meilach, Jay & Bill Hinz. FIRST JEWELRY COMMISSION for a book publication at the age of 16.

1967 - Jil was awarded her FIRST SCHOLARSHIP AT 12 by the Hinsdale Woman's Club.

1982 to 1989 - Jil has also been a professional horse trainer who has received many NATIONAL AWARDS and is a recognized animal healer.
